I will come to your home and teach you how to prepare for your breastfeeding journey. Whether you decide to breastfeed, formula feed or both, I will provide you with recommendations that are backed by evidenced based research. Additional fees may apply for travel greater than 45 miles. What's Included in Your Preparing to Breastfeed Consultation _______________________________ This 1.5-hour prenatal breastfeeding consultation is designed to help you feel confident, prepared, and supported before your baby arrives. Every session is personalized to your unique goals, questions, and feeding plans and may include: ✓ Comprehensive prenatal breastfeeding assessment and discussion of your feeding goals ✓ Review of your health history and factors that may impact breastfeeding or milk supply ✓ Breast and nipple assessment to identify any concerns that may affect feeding ✓ Personalized breastfeeding plan tailored to your family and goals ✓ Education on what to expect during the first hours, days, and weeks of breastfeeding ✓ How milk production works and what to expect as your milk transitions after birth ✓ Signs of effective milk transfer and how to know if your baby is getting enough milk ✓ Newborn feeding cues, feeding frequency, and normal newborn feeding behaviors ✓ Latch and positioning education with demonstrations and practice techniques ✓ Discussion of common breastfeeding challenges and strategies to address them ✓ Pump education and troubleshooting based on the pump you plan to use ✓ FREE nipple measuring tool with guidance for flange sizing and pump setup ✓ Recommendations for breast pumps, flange inserts, milk collection devices, and feeding supplies ✓ Creating a personalized pumping plan when appropriate ✓ Return-to-work and pumping preparation ✓ Safe milk storage and handling education ✓ Antenatal hand expression education (when appropriate and approved by your healthcare provider) ✓ Bottle-feeding education and guidance on when and how to introduce a bottle ✓ Review of breastfeeding myths, expectations, and realistic goal setting ✓ Answers to your breastfeeding, newborn feeding, and postpartum questions ✓ Curated educational handouts and resources specific to your needs ✓ Referrals to additional providers when appropriate ✓ Ongoing email support after your consultation for questions and continued guidance
